This Plaque sits on the backside of the Windmill in Holland

Memorial Plaque located in the village of Waldfeucht.
Waldfeucht is a municipality in the district Heinsberg, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the border with the Netherlands, approx. 15 km south of Roermond and 8 km west of Heinsberg. It is on the building next to the Waldfeucht Windmill.

Comments:

Allen Keith Bodtcher, 27 years of age, was born on February 11, 1918 in Elsinore, Sevier County, Utah. He was the son of John Bodtcher and Gerda M. Madsen. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Sept. 8, 1943, during World War II. Allen served in the 187th Engineer Combat Battalion and in October 1944 was deployed to Europe. He received additional training in England, then went to Northern France, where he served as a part of General Patton's Third Army. Allen was killed on February 22, 1945. As they were working near a mill, some mines exploded killing four American Soldiers. He is now buried in the Elsinore Cemetery, Elsinore, Sevier County, Utah, USA.

Owen John Jones, 27 years of age, was born on November 27, 1917 in Oneonta, Otsego County, New York, and attended school there. He entered the U.S. Army in 1941, and was eventually assigned to the 187th Engineer Combat Battalion in the European Theater of Operations. 1st Lt. Jones was one of four men killed by a tank mine in Waldfeucht, Germany, on February 22 , 1945. He is now buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, Otsego County, New York, USA.
