RANDOLPH LIPELT OBITUARY

Randolph M. Lipelt of Lockeford passed away on August 3, 2016.
He was born on April 18, 1925, to Randolph and Myrtle Lipelt in Chicago, Illinois. The family moved to Sacramento before settling in Woodbridge. Randy graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1942.
He served with the 187th Engineer Combat Battalion in Central Europe, the Ardennes, and the Rhineland battles and campaigns. He served in England, France, Holland, and Germany.
Randy graduated from UC Berkeley in 1955 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the State of California and the County of Sacramento for over 20 years. Randy met and married Alice Frances O'Dwyer in 1956.
Randolph is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dolores Stoyanoff, brother Donald Lipelt, sister Jean Acton, and great-granddaughter Ema Lucchetti.
He is survived by his wife Alice Frances Lipelt, son Randolph Lipelt III (Susan), daughter Kathleen Lipelt, (Joseph Loomis); grandchildren Rebecca Lipelt, Sarah Lucchetti, (Andrew Lucchetti), Randolph Lipelt IV , and great-grandchildren: Joseph Augello, Nicholas Augello, Alice Lucchetti and Paul Lucchetti.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, at Saint Joachim Catholic Church, Lockeford, Ca. Memorial will follow at Lodi Cemetery.
