Allen Keith Bodtcher, 27 years of age, was born on February 11, 1918, in Elsinore, Sevier County, Utah. He was the son of John Bodtcher and Gerda M. Madsen. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Sept. 8, 1943, during World War II. Allen served in the 187th Engineer Combat Battalion and in October of 1944 was deployed to Europe. He received additional training in England, then went to Northern France, where he served as a part of General Patton's Third Army. Allen was killed on February 22, 1945. As they were working near a mill, some mines exploded killing four American Soldiers. He is now buried in the Elsinore Cemetery, Elsinore, Sevier County, Utah, USA.
